I came across this Slideshare from the Service Design Network discussing those principles applied to urban planning. Resident-centered design processes for city functions and services could be game changer, especially for cities that do not inherently attract transplants (as opposed to my city - Denver, Colorado - that has more transplants than they know how to handle). Let's stop designing cities around cars and start designing them around people.
